For the first time since 1982, Newcastle boasts a team in Australia's highest
level of Ice Hockey. They're named the NorthStars as before, & with
the best of last years champion B grade side, & some exciting new imports
from around the globe, the newest AIHL team hope to emmulate the success of the
original NorthStars.
Australia's National Ice Hockey League starts in early May & consists of
16 rounds, vs. teams in Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra & Melbourne. There will
be 9 home games at HISS, & 10 games away (home game vs. Melbourne double
points).
