Last year's Australian Masters Games was hosted by Newcastle,
and HISS in Warners Bay played host to all Ice Hockey games
over the games. There were teams from QLD, VIC, ACT &
across NSW competing in 3 competitions.
Newcastle was represented by four teams in the Masters Games. The 35+ A pool team
won themselves gold medals by defeating the Canterbury Ice Hawks in their final.
Two teams from Newcastle competed in the 35+ B pool, the 1st team came in fourth
in what was a very large and tightly-contested competition. Our 45+ team won Bronze
medals in their respective competition.
More Masters team games are anticipated this year, including
the NSW Masters Games being held in Coffs Harbour.
